AI-Assisted Analysis

Effective Date: Feb 19, 2026

Cognitai provides tools that may assist your licensed mental health professional in reviewing information you choose to share.

1. How AI Is Used

If you provide consent, your clinician may use AI-assisted analysis within the Cognitai professional dashboard to help review:

  • Journal entries
  • Worksheet or assessment responses
  • Mood check-ins
  • Connected health tracker summaries (if authorized)

AI-assisted analysis is initiated by your clinician and is not automatically triggered by the mobile application.

2. Purpose of AI-Assisted Analysis

AI is used solely to support your clinician's review by:

  • Identifying patterns or trends
  • Summarizing information between sessions
  • Highlighting changes over time
  • Supporting session preparation

AI outputs are informational and assistive only.

3. What AI Does Not Do

AI does not:

  • Diagnose medical or mental health conditions
  • Replace your clinician
  • Make treatment decisions
  • Provide independent medical advice

All clinical decisions remain the responsibility of your licensed mental health professional.

4. Privacy and Data Protection

Where AI processing involves contracted service providers:

  • Submitted content is processed only on Cognitai's instructions
  • Processing is performed in de-identified or pseudonymized form where applicable
  • Data is not used for AI model training
  • Data is not retained beyond the processing task
  • Data is not used for independent purposes

Identifiable personal and health-related information is stored in Canada, including Quebec, as described in the Privacy Policy.

5. Your Choice

You may withdraw consent to AI-assisted analysis at any time within the application or by contacting us at trust@cognitai.org, subject to legal and clinical record retention requirements.

By providing consent, you acknowledge and agree to the use of AI-assisted analysis as described above.

Our principles for using AI in care are already set out on the Responsible AI page.
